Welcome to Verran Primary School



Verran Primary School is a co-educational primary school in Verran Road, Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore. 

Situated in a  cul-de-sac, Verran Primary School has a strong involvement in Environmental Education, being one of the first to receive a prestigious Green Gold Award. 

Our school roll has consistently been around 250 students by the end of each school year. 

Our school values are Manaakitanga: Respect, Hiranga; Excellence, Kaitiakitanga; Ecological Sustainability, Te Ngākau Tika; Honesty, Auahatanga; Innovation.  These values are underpinned by community participation and celebrating diversity.  These values support and confirm our school vision of "Education to ready children to thrive in life".

Ka pai for finding us at Verran Primary!  We are a diverse, multi-cultural kura here in the heart of beautiful Birkdale.

We are a school with a special character.  Our ākonga are curious and kind and look out for each other.  We are supported by a hardworking and engaged community.  We offer a wide range of learning opportunities that cater to the differing needs of our students.  We are an Enviro School, a Garden to Table School and a Trees for Survival School.  

With a roll of around 230, every student is known by our caring and hardworking staff.   We will truly know your child.
